Loni Harwood (born c. 1989) is a professional poker player who won a World Series of Poker bracelet at the 2013 World Series of Poker. She won two World Series of Poker Circuit events in 2012, then her second WSOP bracelet in 2015.
Background[edit]
Harwood earned a finance degree in 2012 from the University at Albany, State University of New York.[2] Upon graduation, she moved to Florida and began playing poker, quickly discovering the World Series of Poker Circuit.[2] Her initial poker training came from watching her father, Joel Harwood,[3] play online.[2]
Harwood (K-9) followed up by eliminating Vincent Moscati (7-6) in 5th for $83,716, before being dealt K-J and doing likewise to Bradley St. Vincent (J-10) in 4th for $111,984. Poker personality Kara Scott has announced that her alliance with PartyPoker as a site ambassador will be ending when the calendar turns to 2015. But don't expect Scott to disappear from poker. You'll still see her as a sideline reporter for ESPN at the WSOP, among other places.
Career highlights[edit]
Harwood won two World Series of Poker circuit rings in 2012: 2012 WSOP Circuit - Palm Beach Kennel Club 500-entrant $300 + $45 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em Event 2 for $30,994,[4] and 2012 WSOP Circuit - Harrah's New Orleans 345-entrant $355 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em Event 4 for $23,090.[5] The former was her first ever WSOP Circuit event.[3] She earned her first bracelet by winning the 2,541-entrant $1,500 No Limit Hold'em 2013 World Series of Poker Event 60 and its $609,017 prize.[2] Her victory at the 2013 World Series of Poker was historic: it made her the second woman (Cyndy Violette, 2005)[6] to make three final tables in a single World Series and the first to win a bracelet in the same year she did so; it moved her into third place in the 2013 World Series of Poker Player of the Year race; and it moved her into eighth place on the all-time female World Series earnings list.[2] Additionally, her $609,017 is the highest payout to a woman in any Las Vegas event in World Series of Poker history (second in overall World Series of Poker Europe history to Annette Obrestad's £1,000,000 from the 2007 World Series of Poker Europe main event) and her $874,698 total at the 2013 World Series of Poker is the highest female total in a single World Series.[6]
On July 31, 2015, Harwood won the 2015 WSOP U.S. National Championship for her second career bracelet.[7]

Poker personality Kara Scott has announced that her alliance with PartyPoker as a site ambassador will be ending when the calendar turns to 2015.
PartyPoker's shift to a poker room that focuses on attracting recreational players is seen as a reason why Scott's five-year tenure with bwin.party is coming to an end. As Scott wrote in a recent blog at Cardrunners, 'fewer and fewer TV projects' undertaken by PartyPoker meant that 'one of my favourite parts of the job' disappeared.
But don't expect Scott to disappear from poker. You'll still see her as a sideline reporter for ESPN at the WSOP, among other places.
I'm not going anywhere,' the Canadian-born Scott blogged. 'I still love playing poker and have made a lot of great friends in the industry. It's been way too long since I jumped into the unknown and I'm both relieved and exhilarated to be doing it again.'

What is known is that Scott will certainly continue playing live tournament poker. Casual poker fans may not realize that when not fulfilling on-air duties, Scott has found the time to earn over $630,000 as a player. The bulk of that came from a 2nd place finish at the Main Event of the PaddyPower Irish Open in 2009 that was good for a $413,612 payday.
Scott also cashed in back-to-back WSOP Main Events. Finishing 104th in 2008 and 238th the following year added more than $74,000 to her bankroll, according to the Hendon Mob DB.
Scott can be seen on a bunch of videos here at PokerTube. Click here to check out a complete list.
